Father’s Day Message

This weekend, we extend our heartfelt gratitude and best wishes to all fathers, grandfathers, godfathers and all those who have exercised a father's loving care in the lives of others.

Thank you for your sacrifices, your guidance, your strength and your faithful witness. May God bless you abundantly, grant you wisdom and joy in your vocation, and draw you ever closer to Himself.

We also remember in prayer our fathers who have died. May they rest in the peace of Christ.

Happy Father's Day!

Welcome Fr. Tobias!

Fr. Tobias.

As we continue to give thanks for the ministry of Fr. Prince Michael and wish him every blessing in his new assignment, we are delighted to welcome our new Associate Pastor, Fr. Tobias Ndabhatinya, who joins us this week.

Fr. Tobias comes to us from the Diocese of Kigoma in western Tanzania, situated along the shores of Lake Tanganyika, the deepest lake in Africa and the second-deepest freshwater lake in the world. Ordained to the priesthood on July 6, 2006, he was sent by his bishop to pursue advanced studies in Sacred Scripture at the Pontifical Biblical Institute (the “Biblicum”) in Rome, where he obtained a Licentiate in Biblical Studies.

Upon returning to Tanzania, Fr. Tobias served as a professor of Sacred Scripture at St. Charles Lwanga Major Seminary and later as Rector of the seminary for ten years. He is the fourth of eight children and brings with him a wealth of pastoral, academic and leadership experience.

Please join me in warmly welcoming Fr. Tobias to St. Ignatius Loyola Parish. We look forward to getting to know him and to sharing in his priestly ministry among us. May the Lord bless him abundantly as he begins this new chapter here in the Archdiocese of Toronto.

Thank You!

As we come to the end of another school year, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all those who have helped enrich the life of our parish community throughout the year.

A special thank you to our dedicated volunteers who lead our Children's Liturgy of the Word each Sunday. As this ministry takes a break for the summer months, we are grateful for the time, care and faith they have shared with our youngest parishioners.

We also extend our heartfelt thanks to the principals, teachers and staff of our Catholic schools for their partnership in Catholic education. It is a privilege to work together in forming young people in faith, knowledge and service, and we are grateful for your collaboration throughout the year.

Finally, thank you to our Youth Choir at the 10:30 a.m. Mass and our Adult Choir at the Noon Mass. Through your generosity, talent and commitment, you help lead our community in prayer and enhance the beauty of our worship week after week.

May God bless each of you for your faithful service to our parish and school communities.
