Apostolic Exhortation Dilexi te Issued by Pope Leo XIV

On October 4, 2025, Pope Leo XIV issued his first Apostolic Exhortation, Dilexi te. The Holy Father builds on themes contained in the final encyclical of his predecessor, Pope Francis, entitled Dilexit nos. Pope Leo’s message focuses on the heart of our Christian faith.

At its core, the message reminds us of a powerful truth — the love of Christ is deeply connected to His call to care for the poor. Pope Leo reminds us that love for the poor is central to the Gospel itself and a message the every Christian is called to embrace.
