PARISH NEWS/EVENTS
First Holy Communicants
Please keep our parish’s First Holy Communicants in your prayers. 39 of our young people have already received the Eucharist for the first time, and this Sunday, another 35 will receive Jesus for the first time. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all of these children and their families on this joyful and sacred milestone!
May their hearts always remain open to Christ, and may their love for the Eucharist continue to grow each day. Let us pray that they will always walk closely with the Lord, nourished by His presence in the Eucharist, and guided by His grace throughout their lives.

ShareLife is celebrating 50 years this Sunday!
Today is ShareLife Sunday, the second weekend of special collections. Since 1976, ShareLife has been rooted in our Catholic values of charity and in living the Gospel by caring for those in need. Over the decades, thousands of people across our archdiocese have come together through parish campaigns, school drives, workplace giving, and personal acts of kindness to make a difference in the lives of countless individuals and families.
ShareLife recognizes that all humans are created in the image of God, with a commitment to the dignity of the individual and the right to life, working on behalf of the poor and vulnerable. As we celebrate this milestone anniversary in 2026, we invite you to join us in honouring this legacy of serving the marginalized in our parish community and around the world.
With your support, ShareLife-funded agencies can continue to provide vital services—like counselling for families, support for isolated seniors, and care for those facing mental health challenges—for years to come.
Thus far we have raised $130,985.83 toward our parish goal of $288,000.00! Please consider giving through the parish using a ShareLife envelope, online via our parish website, or at sharelife.org/donate. Thank you for your continued generosity and support.

Help Not Harm: Take Action to Support Bill C-218
You’re invited to visit HelpNotHarmCanada.ca where you can e-mail your Member of Parliament (MP), asking for their support of Bill C-218 (The Right to Recover Act), which would amend the Criminal Code to prevent Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) from being provided when mental illness is the sole underlying condition. Without this change, MAiD will be available for those suffering from mental illness alone beginning in March 2027.
We are called to offer care, hope, and protection — not death — to those who are suffering and most vulnerable. Visit HelpNotHarmCanada.ca or scan the QR code below today, and ask your MP to support Bill C-218.

Office of Vocations
The Good Shepherd calls his own sheep by name and leads them. Is He asking you to help others to find Him? Pray for an increase in vocations to the priesthood, diaconate, and religious life, especially for our archdiocese, that God will raise up good shepherds in our midst. If God is calling you, contact Fr. Matt McCarthy, Director of Vocations, Archdiocese of Toronto at 416-968-0997 or vocations@archtoronto.org.
