Deacon Robert W. Sansone

Deacon Rob graduated from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry in 1986 with a degree in Doctor of Dental surgery (DDS). He started a private dental practice in Mississauga immediately after graduation and continue to practice dentistry today. In 1987 he began teaching part-time in the faculty of Dentistry, department of restorative dentistry as a clinical demonstrator up until he retired from teaching in 2010.
Deacon Rob and his wife became involved in the St Ignatius Bible study in 1991 and acted as facilitators of our parish bible study up until 2016, which was the year of his discernment for the vocation to the Permanent Diaconate. He was ordained at St Michael Cathedral by Cardinal Thomas Colins on June 18,2022 and now serves in St Ignatius Loyola Parish as a permanent deacon.
