League History: The Catholic Women's League of Canada was organized nationally on June 17, 1920 and was granted federal incorporation on December 12, 1923.  The League is officially recognized by the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) in 1948.   

Mission Statement:   The Catholic Women’s League of Canada calls its members to grow in faith, and to witness to the love of God through ministry and service.

Core Purpose:  Uniting Catholic Women to grow in faith and to promote social justice through service to the Church, Canada and the world.

Core Values:

Faith - following Catholic teaching

Service - local, national and international

Social Justice - actively involved in society

The goals of the League are to: 

  • Achieve individual and collective spiritual
  • Promote the teachings of the Catholic Church. 
  • Exemplify the Christian ideal in home and family life.
  • Protect the sanctity of human life.  
  • Enhance the role of women in church and society.
  • Recognize the human dignity of all people everywhere.    
  • Uphold and defend Christian education and values in the modern world.   
  • Contribute to the understanding and growth of religious freedom, social justice, peace and harmony.

Meetings: General Meetings are held September through June on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the parish hall. All are welcome. Currently, due to COVID19, meetings are being held via ZOOM.

How to Join: All women, 16 years of age and older, are invited to journey with other likeminded women, in a sisterhood of faith, fulfillment and companionship. For further information please contact Debbie Bates at
