First Communion UPDATE - March 21, 2023

 

Dear First Communion Parents/Guardians and Families,

Just a reminder that we are only one month away from the celebrations of First Holy Communion!

Please continue to prepare your children for their First Holy Communion by:

  1. Working together (parent and child at home) on the catechetical book, “We Share in the Eucharist” at home as part of your child’s preparation. Please complete the entire book before our rehearsal for First Communion in April.
  2. Regularly attend Saturday 5:00 p.m. or one of the Sunday Masses here in the parish. For our mass times and other parish news, please visit our website:  https://stignatiusloyolami.archtoronto.org .    
  3. Pray daily with your child.

Please be reminded of the mandatory Parent and Child Meeting and Rehearsal in the church which you may attend on either: Tuesday April 18 at 7:00 p.m. or Wednesday April 19 at 7:00 p.m.   

While you do not need to book which rehearsal you will attend, attendance will be taken and those who do not attend the rehearsal will not be eligible for First Holy Communion.

The First Communion Mass dates are:  

Sunday April 23 at 2:00 p.m., Sunday April 23 at 4 p.m. and Sunday April 30 at 2:00 p.m.

Please reserve a spot for your child on your preferred mass date and time through Eventbrite using your child’s name and your contact details. Eventbrite tickets will be available beginning on Tuesday March 28 at 7:00 a.m. by clicking here: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/st-ignatius-loyola-church-first-communion-masses-2023-tickets-541594422497 .    These masses will also be livestreamed through the parish website for those family members unable to be present for the mass.
