Share Your Gifts: Fall Volunteer Opportunities

Our parish is blessed by the many volunteers who generously share their time, talents, and love of the faith with others. As we prepare for another year of faith formation, we are looking for parishioners who feel called to support the spiritual growth of our children and youth.

Whether you enjoy working with young children, helping students prepare for the Sacraments, or walking alongside youth as they grow in their relationship with Christ, there is an opportunity for you to get involved!

        Children’s Liturgy

Our Children's Liturgy program resumes this fall during the 10:30 a.m. and 12:00 noon Sunday Masses. Help our youngest parishioners grow in their understanding and love of God’s Word through age-appropriate lessons and activities during Sunday Masses.

First Reconciliation & First Holy Communion Preparation

Support children who are preparing to receive the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion by helping them learn about the faith and participate in their sacramental journey.

       Confirmation Preparation

Assist our Confirmation candidates as they deepen their understanding of the Sacrament, participate in discussions, and prepare to live out their faith. (Program will begin in January)

        Edge Youth Ministry

Join our Youth Ministry team in creating a welcoming space where young people can grow in faith, build friendships, and encounter Christ through a combination of teaching, discussion, activities, and fellowship.

No matter your background or experience, your presence can make a meaningful difference in the lives of our young parishioners. Training and support will be provided, and volunteers are welcome to serve according to their availability. If you are interested in learning more or volunteering, please contact the Parish Office at StIgnatiusLoyolaMI@archtoronto.org.

Join the Rosary Apostolates!

The Rosary Apostolate is currently seeking volunteers who have great devotion to the Our Blessed Mother Mary and who are willing to visit the local elementary schools, St. Mark and St. Clare Schools, to pray the Rosary with the children once a month from October to May. Training, materials and screening will be provided. If you are interested, please contact: Judy Camilleri at judy.camilleri.2010@gmail.com.

Society of St Vincent de Paul

We thank you for your generous support of our second ANNUAL BACK TO SCHOOL initiative! Our campaign ended on July 31st and contributions have been amazing. We support about 130 school age children, and our goal is to provide each of them with a Walmart gift card to use for their needs as they return to school in September. This distribution will occur on Wednesday August 12th. We will share with you in the next Parish bulletin of August 16th the success achieved through the kindness and generosity of the Parishioners of St. Ignatius Loyola Church.

Together, we turn concern into action for our neighbours in need.

ShareLife Update

We are about $71,000 away from reaching our goal! Continue to check our ShareLife thermometer in the Parish Narthex to see our progress towards our $288,000.00 goal and please consider giving through the parish using a ShareLife envelope, online via our parish website, or at sharelife.org/donate. Thank you for your generosity!
