Tax Receipts 2024
Thank you for your generous donations to St. Ignatius Loyola Parish. The 2024 tax receipts will be mailed out to you by the Archdiocese of Toronto. You can expect to receive them by February 17, 2025. The tax receipt will include all donations made to the Parish, including all offertory and special collection donations.
Please note that any donations that were made to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVDP) have been receipted separately and will be issued by St. Vincent de Paul.
If you have not yet collected your 2025 Offertory envelopes and would like to continue to financially support the Parish this year, please visit the Parish Office. If you are not currently registered in the parish and wish to use Offertory envelopes, please fill out the parish registration form on the table in the foyer and return it to the parish office or submit a completed copy electronically through our parish website.

Society of St. Vincent de Paul
2024 tax receipts from the Society of St. Vincent de Paul are available for pickup in the front foyer as of February 1, 2025. Receipts are filed alphabetically by surname for all donations $25.00 or greater. Online donors will receive their receipts directly from Canada Helps or the National Council of Canada donation portal. Thank you to all donors for your support.
Church Bulletin Advertising
Liturgical Publications will be setting up the advertisements for our church bulletin. The advertising will begin in April 2025 & supports the bulletin service. If you are interested in supporting the bulletin and advertising your product or service, please call Liturgical Publications at 905-624-4422.
Catholic Women’s League of Canada News
The next CWL general meeting will be on Tuesday, February 18th, 2025 starting with the Rosary in the Church at 6:30pm followed by the meeting in the hall at 7:00pm.
We will welcome a guest speaker, Tarek Tawlik, the pharmacist from Reflect Pharmacy here in Mississauga. Tarek’s presentation will be on “Better Communication for Better Health Outcomes” followed by a Q&A period. New members are welcome, and membership is open to all women of the parish ages 16 and up. Coffee Sunday: March 1 & 2, 2025
Mark your calendars for our next Coffee Sunday happening after each Sunday Mass on March 1st and March 2nd. Come by for some fellowship, while you sip on your coffee/tea and snack on some cookies. These events are not possible without our incredible Coffee Sunday Team! St. Ignatius Loyola Parish Presents: “In Your Hands”
We invite you to join us for any or all of the 5 x Mental Health and Wellness Sessions happening on Thursdays at 9:45 AM from February 6th – March 6th in the Parish Hall. We welcome guest speaker Julian D’Souza rsw msw, (www.dear2me.ca) who has over 25 years of extensive experience as a Clinical Social Worker/Psychotherapist and counselled over 8,000 clients. He helps address anxiety, depression, anger, and other emotional issues. He counsels couples with relationships and marital problems, domestic violence issues, anger management, and caregiver burnout. Julian assists individuals to create an environment of recovery for those struggling with addiction to alcohol, drugs, substances, gambling and misuse of the internet. Using integrated therapies, psychosocial education, behaviour modification he encourages skill power over will power and progress over perfection. Our cognition and mind are restless for answers. But the simple truth is, we will be at peace only when we Realize, Relearn, Recoup, Respond, and Re-energize. Your mental health is In Your hands. Save the dates and join us in the New Year for these mentally rewarding sessions!
Lent is fast approaching!
Lent is just over a month away… How are you preparing yourself for this season? We invite you to take the next couple of weeks to prayerfully consider how you can deepen your relationship with Jesus during these 40 days.
The Parish’s Ash Wednesday Mass and Stations of the Cross schedules will be released in the upcoming weeks.
Parish Lenten Retreat: “The Journey Within”
Begin the 2025 Lenten season by taking time to reflect, renew, and deepen your spiritual journey at our Parish’s retreat, The Journey Within, led by Melissa Siu-Chong, our Lay Pastoral Associate. This day will offer you a chance for self-examination, spiritual awakening, and healing, all while embracing the call to transformation through sacrifice and service.
Date: Saturday March 8, 2025
Time: 10:00 AM, concludes with lunch at 1:00 PM
Location: The retreat will begin in the Parish Hall
Cost: $10 per person

CFS presents, “February Grief: Purging and Purifying”
Catholic Family Services (CFS) is hosting an in-person grief support session on February 6, 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Archdiocese of Toronto (1155 Yonge St.). Healing after Abortion: The Sisters of Life
Do you know someone who is carrying the grief of a past abortion? There is always hope. The pain and sorrow of abortion does not need to endure for a lifetime. We offer accompaniment and retreats to women seeking healing after abortion. A “Day of Prayer and Healing” offers the opportunity to experience the love and mercy of God and to respond to His invitation to begin the journey of healing the wound of abortion. Upcoming dates are: February 8 and April 5, 2025.

Celebration of Marriage Mass with Bishop Ivan Camilleri – Feb 9th, 2025 at 2:30 PM
Join As part of Marriage Sunday 2025 celebrations, Bishop Ivan Camilleri will preside at a special Mass to honour married couples, with special recognition for those celebrating 25th, 40th, 50th, 60th and 60+ wedding anniversaries in 2025.
The Mass will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 9, 2025 at St. Michael’s Cathedral Basilica (65 Bond St., Toronto). All married couples will have an opportunity to renew their marriage commitment during the Mass. All are welcome to attend. Reserved seating is available for couples celebrating a 25th, 40th, 50th, 60th or 60+ anniversary in 2025.
Reserved seating is limited, so please register early. All other seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Those who are unable to attend at the Cathedral are invited to join the celebration via livestream Mass. Registration and other important information can be found at www.archtoronto.org/marriage.
