From the Pastor's Desk

A Heartfelt Thank You

I am deeply grateful to our parish community for your extraordinary generosity. I am happy to share that we exceeded our ShareLife goal by just over $10,000 — a remarkable witness to your compassion and faith in action. Through ShareLife, your gifts support essential services across our archdiocese, including care for the poor and vulnerable, counselling and family services, outreach to newcomers and refugees and the formation of future priests and deacons for the Church. I also wish to thank you for your continued support of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, whose outreach is thriving because of your kindness and commitment. Time and again, this parish rises to care for the poor, the vulnerable and those in need. As your pastor, I am truly humbled and deeply grateful for the way you live the Gospel through your generosity.

Mass for the Anointing of the Sick

February 11, the Memorial of Our Lady of Lourdes, highlights the Church’s healing mission and reminds us that care for the sick and suffering must never be neglected. It also acknowledges the dedicated service of doctors, nurses, health care institutions, and pastoral caregivers who work to restore health to those afflicted by illness. We in particular would like to thank our Pastoral Care Ministry who bring Holy Communion to those at home, at Sunrise, and at Parkland on Glen.

A special Mass for the Anointing of the Sick will be celebrated on Saturday, February 7, at 9:00 a.m. Families are encouraged to invite Roman Catholics whose health is seriously impaired by illness or old age to receive the Anointing during this Mass. Coffee Sunday will follow in the Parish Hall. All are warmly invited to attend!
