Holy Land H

Handicraft Holy Land Christians

On the weekend of October 4-5, we will welcome our special guest Sebastien Cardinal, representing "Handicraft Holy Land Christians", who after all the masses will briefly address the issues and concerns regarding the Christian presence in the Holy Land. Christians in the Holy Land graciously ask your support through conscience prayers and will have many unique hand carved olive wood religious art pieces made by these families in Bethlehem available for purchase after every mass.

Proceeds of the sales generate much needed employment for our Christian brothers and sisters in Bethlehem. Cash, debit, credit cards and cheque will be accepted. May God Bless you for your generosity, for you help and for your prayers. You can visit and support us at www.HolylandChristians.ca

Sanctity of Life

Sanctity of Life, Sat October 4, 2025

9:45 AM (following 9 AM Daily Mass & Rosary)

As Catholics, we know that every human life is sacred, created in the image and likeness of God. But how do we respond when others challenge that belief? What does science actually say about when life begins? How can we respond with truth and compassion to arguments in favor of abortion? How do we form our conscience and speak with clarity in today’s world?

In preparation for the upcoming Life Chain, our parish will host Sanctity of Life Morning Reflection in the Parish Hall following Saturday 9 AM Mass and Rosary. This free event offers an opportunity to deepen our understanding of the Church’s teaching on the dignity of human life—and to discover how these truths are supported not only by faith, but also by reason, science, and human experience. Through prayer, thoughtful discussion, and impactful video presentations, we will reflect on how to respond with clarity and compassion in a world that often questions the value of life.

Life-Chain

Stand in Silent Witness, October 5th

On Respect Life Sunday, the annual national Life Chain will also be taking place, in front of parishes and at key intersections in Mississauga & Brampton uniting with 300 sites across Canada to pray for our pre-born children, elderly and infirm. Join us in this holy act of solidarity, standing side by side in prayer for mothers, fathers, families, and especially for the lives of the unborn. We will stand vigil along Burnhamthorpe Rd. West in front of the church after the Noon mass- Sunday October 5th between 1 pm and 2 pm.  For more information, please visit the Right to Life website: www.righttolifemb.com/life-chain/

Thanksgiving Food & Used Sports Equipment Drive!

We are having our annual Drive-Thru Thanksgiving Food Drive in support of the Salvation Army Food Bank at Glen Erin/Collegeway in the front parking lot on Thanksgiving weekend, October 11/12 before and after all the Masses.

The Knights of Columbus will take the donations directly from your trunk and deliver them to the foodbank. The items that are most needed include shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap , rice, pasta sauce, and jam.

This year The Knights are also accepting donations of used sporting equipment such as Volleyballs, Basketballs, Jump Rope, Tennis Balls, Nerf Soccer balls, and Nerf Footballs. These items will be donated to our elementary schools for children to play during recess.
