Humanitarian Relief – Nepal & Colombia
The Archdiocese of Toronto is accepting donations to support humanitarian relief efforts following the recent disasters in Nepal and Colombia. Nepal has been affected by devastating mudslides and flooding, resulting in loss of life, displacement and widespread damage to homes and infrastructure. Colombia has experienced a devastating earthquake, resulting in loss of life and injuries, displaced families, and significant damage to homes and critical infrastructure.
Parishioners may donate online through www.archtoronto.org, by phone through the Donations Processing Centre at 437-529-1287, or through the parish, using the two separate envelopes (found in parish foyers): one designated for Nepal and one for Colombia. Funds will be channeled through trusted Catholic partners assisting those most affected.
Please pray for those who have died, those who are grieving or displaced, and all those providing emergency assistance and support to the affected communities.
Youth Choir Welcome Night
Calling all young singers ages 12–35! Join us for our next Welcome Night on Wednesday, September 16 at 6:30 p.m. No experience is needed—enjoy simple vocal instruction followed by choir practice from 7:00–8:00 p.m. The Youth Choir sings weekly at the 10:30 a.m. Mass. Come discover your voice, grow in faith, and share in fellowship! Volunteer hours available. To sign up, visit the parish office or speak with Claudia Ferro after Mass.
Catholic Women’s League News:
The arrival of September brings the return of our CWL monthly meetings! The next general meeting will be held Tuesday, September 15th and all women of the parish - ages 16 and up are welcome. We will begin with the Rosary in the Church at 6:30pm followed by the meeting in the parish hall at 7pm that will begin with a presentation by Kathryn Peterson on the Changes in Auto Insurance Coverage. We will also have a planning session to map out our activities and events for 2027.

Registration for Confirmation preparation will open in October. Please watch our parish bulletin and website for the latest registration information and program details.
First Reconciliation & First Holy Communion Preparation – Registration Closes Sept 21!
Registration for our First Reconciliation & First Holy Communion 2026/2027 preparation program is open! Parents and Guardians of Grade 2 children are invited to visit our website for our preparation schedule and to access our online registration form. Please note that registration will close on Monday September 21.
If you have any questions, please contact the office. We look forward to welcoming you to our first meeting on Tuesday, September 29 OR Wednesday, September 30 at 6:30 p.m. Kindly note that late registrations will not be accepted.
The beginning of the school year is always a busy time, and important information can easily get missed! If you know a family with a Grade 2 child who may be preparing for these sacraments, please help us spread the word and pass this information along. A simple reminder from a friend or fellow parishioner may help another family make sure they don't miss the registration deadline. Thank you for helping us reach the families in our parish community!

Mass with Anointing of the Sick
Join us for our annual Mass with the Anointing of the Sick on Saturday, September 26 at 9:00 a.m. The Sacrament will be offered to those who are elderly, seriously ill, facing significant surgery, or living with an ongoing illness or condition. As we celebrate the feast of the Canadian Martyrs, we are reminded that Christ is especially close to us in times of suffering. Following Mass, all are invited to the parish hall for fellowship and refreshments. Please consider bringing a family member, friend or neighbour who may benefit from receiving the Anointing of the Sick.
Coffee Sunday is BACK!
Kick off the new academic year with Coffee Sunday on the weekend of September 26/27, following each Sunday Mass. Join us in the parish hall for coffee, tea, cookies, and fellowship! We look forward to seeing you there!
Society of St. Vincent de Paul
Society of Saint Vincent de Paul continues to help over 110 families coping with food insecurities within our parish boundaries. It is only through your generous financial assistance that we can continue to do this.

ShareLife Update
We are currently $58,000 away from reaching our goal! Continue to check our ShareLife thermometer in the Parish Narthex to see our progress towards our $288,000.00 goal and consider giving through the parish using a ShareLife envelope, online via our parish website, or at sharelife.org/donate. Thank you for your ongoing support and generosity!
Society of St. Vincent de Paul: Bundle Up Weekend
Please let those gently used items you can do without benefit those of our neighbours in need. Bundle Up Weekend will take place the weekend of October 24th and 25th, before and after all Masses.
The container will be in the front parking lot and SSVP volunteers will be happy to assist you with your donation. Please ensure all bags are tied securely.
Accepted items include: all clothing (any condition), all footwear (any condition), bedding (any condition), drapery/towels and new toys only.
Items not accepted include: baby items (cribs, car seats, strollers), regular or baby furniture, books, dishes, mattresses, construction materials, appliances or video tapes.
Save the Date: Life Chain – Sunday October 4, 2026
On Respect Life Sunday, the annual national Life Chain will also be taking place, in front of parishes and at key intersections uniting with 300 sites across Canada to pray for our pre-born children, elderly and infirm. Volunteers will be present to distribute signs with messages of compassion, truth, and hope. Join us in this holy act of solidarity, standing side by side in prayer for mothers, fathers, families, and especially for the lives of the unborn. We will stand vigil along Burnhamthorpe Rd.
